Steve Bug is one of electronic music’s true originals and a long-standing driving force behind the European house and techno scene. Often called the “gentleman of techno” for his dedication and reliability, the Berlin-based artist has built a global reputation as a revered DJ, producer, and curator who consistently delivers quality without losing his sense of humor.

Coming up during Germany’s techno and acid-house heyday, Steve avoided the harder trance trends of the nineties to pioneer a fresher, hybrid sound. His signature style blends stripped-back deep house, tweaked-out acid, and minimal techno, all driven by an undeniable, perfect groove.

Beyond releasing seven studio albums over two decades, Steve is the mastermind behind the influential Poker Flat Recordings and its sublabel, Sublease Music. His tracks have also landed on top-tier labels like Hot Creations, Cocoon, and Defected, proving his ongoing mission to champion innovative underground sounds.
