Boris Brejcha has officially announced his retirement plan, confirming that 2028 will mark the final chapter of his career under the world-renowned “The Joker” persona. The German producer shared a heartfelt message explaining that his choice stems from a lifelong piece of advice from his father to exit the stage while still at the very top. “My dad always used to say that you should stop when things are at their best. And that’s why I want to let you know that in 2028, I’ll be writing my final chapter,” Brejcha shared. Addressing potential concerns, the artist clarified that he is in good health and his love for music creation remains as strong as ever. The decision was made purely on his own terms after extensive thought.

To honor his dedicated global fan base, Brejcha plans to schedule an extensive series of performances throughout 2028 as a grand farewell celebration. Known for his unique masked performances, Brejcha’s career recently featured milestone moments, including a Mainstage performance at Tomorrowland and a historic back-to-back set alongside Eric Prydz. Further information about the schedule for his 2028 farewell tour will be revealed in upcoming announcements.
