Electronic music legend Richie Hawtin is teaming up with Irish artist John Gerrard for a special 24-hour showcase at Paris venue FVTVR during Art Basel Paris. Running as part of Reference Festival from noon on Saturday, October 24, to noon on Sunday, October 25, the event seamlessly blends visual art, discussions, and cutting-edge electronic sound.

The experience opens on Saturday with an artist talk between Hawtin and Gerrard, moderated by Marc Spiegler. From 12 PM to midnight, visitors can view Gerrard’s digital installation infin.1.iridescent.stream, which features a python moving through a digital space accompanied by a generative audio piece by Plastikman (powered by Bronze.ai).

At midnight, the program turns into a full club experience curated by Hawtin under the MINUS+ banner. Joining Hawtin on the decks through Sunday noon are Matador, Courtesy, Kristin Velvet, and Reece Pritchard. The night section also features Gerrard’s ocean-plastic installation SPIRITS, including a live performance with Anastasia Giovani. Daytime entry and the artist talk are free, while tickets for the MINUS+ night event are available via Shotgun.
